Dreaming...

All of us have dreams. Some are achievable, others are way out of reach, and there are still more somewhere halfway in between.
One of my dreams is to visit Australia. I start out planning a trip each year, and each year something else gets in the way.
Well, until I get there I've found the next best thing. Trish Morey's stories are so evocative I can smell the exotic scents and feel the sun on my back- which in a northern UK winter is quite something.
I love Trish's hero and heroine, Zane, and Ruby, and tough though he is, I knew Zane was sunk the moment he shares his thoughts with us-
He would resist her. And dammit, he'd show her her rightful place in the process!
Big mistake, Zane. Huge. You're dealing with a Trish Morey heroine here, remember?
I'm not going to spoil this fantastic story for you, but you will read about the pearl industry, which is fascinating, plus the wonderful town of Broome in Western Australia, which Trish describes as being set between Kimberley and the turquoise Indian Ocean... Already I have a silly smile of anticipation on my face- I may just have to read about the romantic Stairway to the Moon again.
Oh, yes ladies, this is one fab book, and one you should consider adding to your keeper shelf.
Love to all, and happy reading everyone!

I love the sound of her heroines and the pearl industry sounds fascinating but I'm not really a huge fan of 'presents'. I'm not into Alpha heros and the sex scenes get on my nerves (no, I'm not a prude - I just can't be bothered to read about it). Still, I suppose if I skip those bits (as I usually do if I read a 'presents') I could go with the Alpha hero just to have tried a Trish Morey. Yes... I think I will :)
I loved this book, it was the third in the series and Ruby was no shrinking violet. She was proactive and no-nonsense and stood up for herself!! Zane was flummoxed quite a lot of the time!
I think our Australian authors really capture the essence of our continent in their books : you are right there with the characters!!!
Come on Down Susan!!

I'd love to come to visit both Australia and New Zealand, and I will just as soon as circumstances allow. 2007 was to have been my year, but then my son announced his marriage plans- so you see what I mean!!!
But I will NOT miss out.
That just reminds me- I have a fantastic writing friend called Amanda Ashby, who is returning to New Zealand early in 2007. Amanda also has her first book out in 2007 called, 'You Had Me At Halo' and you're going to be hearing a lot more about that as we get closer to the launch...
You can find Amanda's site on my sidebar, along with Trish Morey's
(I start smiling just thinking about Trish- she's so much fun- I met her in a lift in NYC when she had just been signed and I knew immediately that she was going to be great- as a friend and as a writer)
Sxxx again!
