B'Day

Thank you all so much for your birthday greetings!

I had a great day with dh sorting out flowers champagne and home made chocs, and even- he excelled himself here- canapes from the local deli before we hit the restaurant for lunch.

Here's the tribe-

Why, oh why do I never remember to take a photo when the food is on the table? (because I'm far too greedy, maybe?!)

Lunch was fab' I had Morecambe Bay shrimp with some sort of delicious fancy salad (forgot to bring the menu home too!) Traditional roast beef, which was scrumptious- the best I've ever had in a pub, and then I had poached pear with chocolate chilli sauce- unusual- quiet literally hot chocolate! Liked it. But then I like anything with chocolate in it- and then those of us who didn't indulge in pudding had been instructed to order my favourite cheese- so I really pigged out.

Ah... Uuuuummmm.... Yeah....

My prezzies were fantastic too... a lovely scarf, bath foam and other super thoughtful things from friends, plus a bracelet with hearts on from Wiggy, a new whistling kettle and teapot from son and LFF (Hoping for many more cups of tea, I'm guessing!) and a new posh purse from my baby.

DH? He bought me a new pair of walking boots.
Always makes my friends scream with laughter to think that the most romantic person on the face of the earth has a husband who buys her things like walking boots for b'days and Xmas- Maybe that's the secret behind 28 years of married bliss???!!!

All in all it was a fantastic day. Thank you everyone.

And here's the cover I've been waiting for...

The Greek's Bridal Purchase is a story about a girl whose whole life is devoted to music.
What will Miranda do when the ability to make music is cruelly taken away from her? And as if that wasn't enough when she goes to a beautiful Greek island to find herself and rebuild her life her path collides with that of a ruthless Greek tycoon...
Oh-oh!

Hugs around the world to all my friends from your friend Susan

Lovely cover!

I am glad you had such a great day!

What a lovely happy family and a delicious meal!!! I think it is not the actual gift, but the thought that goes with it. Someone noticing that you want/need new walking shoes and taking the time to buy them for you is very romantic!! And think of all those walks through the misty fields!!!
I loved TGBP!! Such a wondeful story, without a soppy sweet fairy tale ending- I loved that the ending was romantic and real AND it was linked to another book. Be still me beating heart!!!

Thank you so much for all your lovely comments.

And 2 Paw I'm so totally thrilled you enjoyed TGBP so much.

I'm particularly delighted and even relieved that TGBP was received so well, because this is a book that means a lot to me for reasons I'm going to chat about on Wednesday.

It will be a re-release under the Presents imprint and will be available- urgh, you're sure to know better than I do about that!!! But it will be available on amazon.com very soon indeed, I promise you!!!

I'm going to talk some more about TGBP tomorrow- because not only is it a book that means a lot to me but I'd like to canvas your views on themes

Looking forward to it

Thank you again!

Hugs

I tried to post a comment earlier to thank you all for your kind remarks- but, oh, you know me... I did something wrong and it didn't show.

Anyway, here I am again- just to say I am thrilled and even relieved that TGBP was received so well, and for reasons I would like to chat about on Wednesday... I'd like the chance to canvas your views on themes, for one thing.

Meanwhile, thank you again- I know each book is different and they can't all resonate with you the same way, but I'm particularly thrilled to see this book re-released under the Presents imprint and I hope you'll all enjoy reading it as much as I angsted, laughed, cried and empathised with my heroine as I wrote it... more on Wednesday!!!

Hugs to all
Suexxx
