Home sweet home...

How better to celebrate returning home than to show you a photo of my darling pooch, resplendent in her new basket, which, as luck would have it, arrived today.

More on the fun and games of arriving home tomorrow!
Suffice it to say that this time the cabin staff had to summon a strong young cabin attendant to very kindly take my seat apart to find the top of my precious pen when it slipped down the side of the seat... (precious because the children clubbed together to buy the pen for my birthday)
This procedure provided a good half hour's entertainment for the rest of my compartment... and just in case he wasn't successful the captain faxed ahead to have an engineer standing by.
Virgin Airlines, I salute you.

And may I take this opportunity to wish all the wonderful people I met in Daytona a safe and uneventful journey home...

Love to all, and happy reading everyone!
Susan

There's never a dull moment is there!!!! Fin looks very content in the new bed. I love coming home, I never go away for more than a day trip (Never a night) and seeing the back gate and Harki and Peri is always a joy!!! I grew up in Hobart at the other end of the island and even now after 22 years away, I still get a funny feeling seeing the lights of the city glowing as you cross the bridge and then see the mountain in the distance. There really is no place like home!!!

I have to agree with this comment - Susan, *grin* really sounds like there's never a dull moment with you. How fun!! And so incredibly nice of Virgin Airlines to go to such lengths for you. :) Glad you got home safe and sound!! Once you've recovered from jet lag, we'll want an update on how things are at the house with the decorating - please. :)
