And this is Wiggy's gift to me, which she had to lower into the deepest darkest pit in the centre of every author's nightmare country: Deadline Hell.

On one of the few days when the courts are closed and we could have spent some time together I was in my study battling the beast for the sake of Kate and Santino's future happiness. And that man ain't easy, ladies. He's a big brute of an Italian film producer with a real chip on his shoulder where women are concerned- and mother's in particular.

And Kate's a mother... I'll say no more, or I'll give the plot away!
