The demon computer!
Yep, he's tamed for now, and thank you for everyone who sent messages of support and solidarity!
My ed and I are back in touch so she can check up to make sure I don't spend my whole day blogging and drinking coffee- that's when I'm not eating chocolate, or shopping on-line, you understand...
I am supposedly working on revisions right now... but somehow I can't seem to get past page 12 and as anyone will tell you, you DO NOT work on any part of the manuscript that has passed muster; you ONLY work on that part of it you have been asked to work on. OTHERWISE you open a whole Pandora's box of potential problems- perhaps changing something your ed absolutely loves- it may be the ONE thing she absolutely loves in the whole 200 pages- and you just scrapped it.
BIG MISTAKE!!!
BUT When did I ever listen to the voice of reason? And when I read a book it's absolutely imperative to me that the first chapter flows effortlessly... So, back to page 12
