Friendship...

One of the things I am most grateful for in my life is friendship... and I am so lucky to have kept my friends from my days at music college.
I think I've mentioned before that some of us were allowed into the conservatoire aged 17 Well four best friends came together on that very first week and umpty umpty umph years later we're still the best of friends.
What has become of us? Well, you know about me...
Sue (another Sue) has just received an invitation to Buckingham Palace (yes, our own dear queen's house) to receive acknowledgement for her services to music. Sue teaches piano at one of our leading music schools launching the careers of countless young people and has one fabulously handsome son who after his skating career was cut short by an accident now takes his top flight magic act around the world.
Jan, who is godmother to my children, has an incredible singing voice and has been crucial to the development of some of this countries leading operatic voices. She is still one of the funniest people I know.
And beautiful Kate has three stunning sons. Having been a very popular principal with the D'Oyly Carte Opera company, Kate is still much sought after for concert work and is now a fully qualified nurse...
We're getting together this lunchtime to have a lot of fun and shed some tears as one of us has just received some less than great health news. But we're going to stayed glued to her side and love her better.
The four muskateers instead of three! We'll always be there for each other- no more perching on the stage at college gossiping about what we're going to do when we go out into the big, wide world... we're here, and it's tough, but we're together and that's what counts.
Wishing you all the blessing of good friends
Love to all and happy reading everyone!
Susan
