Atrocity...
It was with awe and celebration that I woke to the news that the London transport system has snapped back into action.
Gratitude to all those who manage our infra-structure, as well as to those in the caring professions, and to firemen and the police, who are quite magnificent.
Holding hands around the world with my friends in so many countries I send my heartfelt condolences to those in grief and to those in pain, our love and wishes for a speedy recovery.
To those in the shadows, why... Does the slaughter of innocents prove anything other than the fact that cowards and bullies are at work?
To those in the light... You already know that freedom is is the most precious thing we have.
I caught the tail end of a television programme from the US last night, which showed a young widow, living in a shack with her two children, trying to keep their farm and her late husband's hay business going.
The television company built the small family a new house and provided all the things we would all love to own, right down to shiny new vehicles for both private and business use.
But what touched me and showed me that right-minded people will always prevail, was the sight of the farming community where this woman lived ploughing and seeding her fields and donating hay so that she could have a fresh start.
When each good man and woman gave their time, or expertise, or some of their hard-earned produce, they were not only helping to rebuild that woman's life, they were giving both her and her children a future.
How wonderful it is to create, and how meaningless and empty it is to destroy.
Thank God for good people everywhere.
Love to you all
Susan
