Ooof!

I'm trying to be jolly... I vowed to be jolly... But yes, I lost my little dog, Honey, and today my last remaining dog Finlay refused to complete her much-loved walk.

I think all you animal lovers know how I'm feeling right now- but I did want to come here and share all the news, so I guess we just have to take the bad along with the good.

Good news for me did come along on Thursday when four of us, who arrived at the Royal College of Music on the same day, and palled up on that day, got together for our annual dinner.
This year we met at Sue's... Hi Sue! And Sue really pushed the boat out, treating us to a fabulous meal with fine wines, Cecilia Bartoli singing wonderful arias, as well as Sue's very own brand of humour to keep us all in fits of laughter throughout the evening.
Sue has a beautiful home complete with an amazingly glam' white grand piano- Can she play it? You betcha! Sue not only gives concerts all over the world, but teaches pianoforte at one of the foremost music schools in Europe.

Yes, we have a few laughter lines these days- but when we all get together the years just melt away.
If that's taught me one thing, it's that friendship is precious.
Wishing you all the true blessing of good friends.

Love to you all, and happy reading!
Susan

ps I'll be back tomorrow with news of New Year, which led to my finding out about a fantastic 'interest' holiday in Greece. (So, if astrology's your thing don't forget to check in here tomorrow!)

Comments:
Dear Susan, I check your blog every day, and we are sad to hear of Honey's death. We have Vundy the German Shepherd and Tori the Labrador who live in a box each on the mantelpiece. They have roses in the garden blooming at the moment. The Labradors and I am thinking of you.It is a sad time, but the happiness and love dogs share with their humans is a thing to be marvelled at.
