Seeing the Light...
I am re-writing my book. Yes, the one that has to be in for December.
It was a mild comment from my ed (they know how to ring my bell) 'Have you dug deep enough on this one?'
Dug deep enough? I got halfway to Australia Grrrh! Aaaargh Hisss! And Grrrrh again for good measure.
Then I woke up in the middle of the night, and I knew, I KNEW she was RIGHT.
Oh yeh, baby, I saw the light! Well, I should have done- I switched it on, disturbing dh from his slumbers.
Rushing downstairs, I typed, 'Prologue' and sat back with a big grin on my face.
Why? Because I could see the story hiding behind my story- and without my ed' those blinkers of mine would have stayed firmly in place.
Thank heavens for good editors everywhere- without them those 'better' books would never see the light of day.
Love, and many happy collaborations of the literary kind to you all!
