Born on the fourth of July...
Thinking of that great number 'I'm a Yankee Doodle Dandee', sung by Mickey Rooney as I celebrate the 4th today.
I got to sing it on board the QE2 when I was performing in cabaret on the Southampton, New York run... me in top hat and fishnet stockings... eeeugh! don't even think about it, girls!
My youngest is 17 today, and took possession of her first car. Celebrations all round! And a very, very happy July 4th to all my great friends on the other side of the pond!
A special hi! to Jennifer Stevenson- check out Jennifer's web site on: http://www.jenniferstevenson.com
Jennifer is going to be sitting next to me at the literary signing in Dallas- and had the great idea of contacting me in advance to see what type of chocolate I preferred.
Wow! I love you already,Jennifer!
What a great idea to do that, and how typical of all the really lovely people I've met in the US since I started writing romance. I
I know I've said it before- but I'm going to say it again- The best thing about writing romance is the fabulous people you meet.
Love to all, and happy reading and writing
Susan
