An abundance of riches...
Yes, this grumpy old author has left the home cave to eat out on two consecutive nights !
Tonight's meal was in celebration of my son's twenty-fourth birthday, and as he is a vegetarian this called for something special.
He came up trumps for us with a fantastic Hindu restaurant- and no, I didn't know until tonight that, 'Hindus are forbidden to kill any living creature, especially for food.'
Needless to say, after generations of cooking without meat of any kind, these guys have got things just about right!
The meal was historic: tasty, varied, nutritious, and delicious!
Our meal consisted of Starters (Sharuaat), a selection of vegetable curries, (Lilotri), and Beans, or Pulse curries (Kathor), and lets not forget the Puddings! (Mistaan)
And here's a really great quote from their menu to start the weekend for all of us...
'In the joy of others, lies our own.
In the progress of others, rests our own.
In the good of others, abides our own.
